Novali Panji Nugroho, Jakarta – The survey conducted by Indikator Politik Indonesia revealed the public satisfaction rate with the performance of President Prabowo Subianto. Released on Sunday, February 8, 2026, the satisfaction rate for the current head of state has reached 79.9 percent.

Thirteen percent of the population stated they were very satisfied, and 66.9 percent were satisfied. Meanwhile, Indikator Politik Indonesia noted that 19.3 percent of the population is dissatisfied with President Prabowo Subianto's performance in his first year in office.

The Executive Director of Indikator Politik Indonesia, Burhanuddin Muhtadi, stated that Prabowo's approval rating is higher than that of the previous two presidents. "Compared to the early days of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's presidency in 2004 post-election, or Joko Widodo in 2014 post-first election, Prabowo's approval rating is higher," he said in a virtual press conference on Sunday, February 8, 2026.

Burhanuddin mentioned that the high level of Prabowo's satisfaction rate is not only influenced by the electoral support obtained from his Gerindra Party support base. According to him, the support from former President Jokowi also affects the public satisfaction rate with the head of state.

In addition, Burhanuddin detailed that based on the survey results, the factors contributing the most to Prabowo's public satisfaction rate are his government's performance in eradicating corruption, frequent assistance to the public, firmness, bravery, the free nutritious meal program, and the improvement of security, all of which are considered to contribute to the public satisfaction rate with the president.

Meanwhile, the public is dissatisfied with Prabowo's performance due to the uneven distribution of aid, the worsening economy, the difficulty of finding employment, and the high cost of necessities. The same survey found that 45.3 percent of respondents believed that the cost of necessities was much higher during Prabowo's administration than in previous periods.

The data for this survey were collected from January 15 to 21, 2026. This survey used a sample size of 1,220 eligible voters, who were at least 17 years old, from all provinces in Indonesia. The sampling was done using a multi-stage random method, with an error tolerance of approximately 2.9 percent at a 95 percent confidence level. The selected respondents were interviewed face-to-face.
