Jakarta – Poltracking Indonesia released its latest survey on political party electability on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, with the Gerindra Party recording the highest electability at 23.2 percent.

"In a simulated ballot paper involving 18 political parties, Gerindra ranks first with 23.2 percent," Poltracking Indonesia researcher Yoki Alvetro said during a press teleconference.

The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) ranked second with 11.6 percent, followed by the Golkar Party with 10.4 percent, the National Awakening Party (PKB) with 6.2 percent, and the Democratic Party with 6.1 percent.

The NasDem Party ranked sixth with 4.4 percent. It was followed by the National Mandate Party (PAN) with 3.4 percent and the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) with 3.3 percent.

Among non-parliamentary parties, the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) recorded the highest electability at 2.3 percent. The United Development Party (PPP) followed with 1.9 percent, Perindo with 0.6 percent, the Labor Party with 0.5 percent, and the Hanura Party with 0.3 percent.

The Ummat Party, Crescent Star Party (PBB), Garuda Party, Nusantara Awakening Party (PKN), and Gelora Party each recorded 0.1 percent.

Yoki said several factors contributed to Gerindra's high electability, including voters' choices of presidential and vice-presidential candidates.

Poltracking's survey found that 32.8 percent of voters were influenced by their choice of presidential and vice-presidential candidates when deciding which political party to support.

However, Yoki said Gerindra's electability has shown a downward trend in recent months.

In October 2025, Gerindra recorded 24.1 percent electability. The figure rose to 26.1 percent in March 2026 before declining to 25.9 percent in May.

The downward trend continued, with Gerindra recording 23.5 percent in July and 23.3 percent in August 2026.

Poltracking Indonesia's national survey, titled "Reading the Electoral Map and Political Party Dynamics," was conducted from August 14 to 20, 2026. It involved 1,220 respondents across 38 provinces in Indonesia and used a multistage random sampling method with face-to-face interviews.

The survey had a margin of error of approximately 2.9 percentage points and a 95 percent confidence level.
