Hendro Dahlan Situmorang, Jakarta – Indikator Politik Indonesia recorded that 83.4 percent of the public is confident that President-elect Prabowo Subianto will lead Indonesia toward a better future during his five-year term

"This is a remarkable level of public trust, showing not only confidence but also the expectations citizens have of Prabowo's leadership," Rizka Halida, lead researcher at Indikator Politik Indonesia, said on Friday.

The survey also focused on five key issues that the public expects Prabowo to address during his five-year term. These include controlling the prices of basic necessities, creating jobs, reducing poverty, and tackling corruption.

"These four concerns, which all received more than 10 percent of responses, are urgent problems that must be prioritized by national leaders in the next five years," Rizka added.

Indonesia's inflation rate currently stands at 1.84 percent, well within the government's target of 2.5 percent. The unemployment rate is 4.84 percent, while the poverty rate is 9.03 percent, affecting 25.22 million people.

Additionally, the nation's 2024 Anti-Corruption Behavior Index (IPAK) is 3.85 on a scale of 0 to 5, indicating a slight decline from 2023's score of 3.92. A higher score suggests stronger anti-corruption sentiment among the population, while a lower score indicates a more permissive attitude toward corruption.

Indikator's survey was conducted from Sept. 22 to 29, 2024, with 1,200 respondents across Indonesia, using multistage random sampling. The margin of error is approximately 2.3 percent with a 95 percent confidence level.
