Gangsar Parikesit, Jakarta – The satisfaction rate of Jakartans with Anies Baswedan in the second year of his governorship declined. This set out a result of the survey "Jakarta untuk Siapa?" posted by a pollster Populi Center, Monday, Oct. 14.

The survey was held on 600 respondents across the capital's five municipalities and one regency of Thousand Island throughout September 9-18, using a multistage random sampling method with a confidence level of up to 95 percent.

More than half of those surveyed or 65.5 percent expressed satisfaction with Anies' performance in the last year; 58.5 percent was satisfied, and 7 percent was extremely satisfied. Meanwhile, 28.1 percent of respondents thought otherwise, while the remaining 6.3 percent did not answer.

However, the rate slipped compared to that of the Populi survey in October 2018. Last year, the number of Jakartans who were satisfied with their governor's performance reached 69.8 percent (58.9 percent satisfied and 10.9 percent extremely satisfied), while those who expressed dissatisfaction amounted to 27.9 percent.

"So it shows a decline," said Populi Center researcher Jefri Adriansyah.

According to Jefri, among the factors of the drop include several useless programs offered by Anies. As many as 16.5 percents opined the zero rupiah down payment housing was ineffective.

Additionally, 6.2 percent claimed they were difficult to access jobs, and even 2.4 percent assessed that Anies and his previous running mate's (Sandiaga Uno) leading program dubbed One Kecamatan One Center of Entrepreneurship (Ok Oce) was to no avail.

"The program cannot be accessed by the people who are our respondents," Jefri added.

A researcher at Jakarta Urban Study Center, Nirwono Joga, said Anies Baswedan's zero DP house project was ineffective for low-income people since the program was only intended for those who monthly earn Rp4-7 million.
