Alif Ilham Fajriadi, Jakarta – The Indonesian Police's Food Task Force has named 11 suspects in the case of MinyaKita cooking oil, where the actual volume of the product did not match the labeled measurements. The suspects were located across various regions, including West Java, Banten, East Java, and Gorontalo.

"Regarding the progress of the MinyaKita case investigation, 11 suspects have been processed," said Sr. Comr. Samsu Arifin, Deputy Director of Special Economic Crimes of the Indonesian National Police's Criminal Investigation Department, to the media at Grand Kemang Jakarta on Thursday, March 20, 2025.

Samsu indicated that the 11 suspects were identified through the investigation of 12 Police Reports received by the Food Task Force. He also revealed that seven additional related reports are currently under investigation.

However, he stopped short of disclosing the identities of the 11 suspects or their specific roles in the case. He stated that the police, through the Food Task Force, are continuing the investigation to its conclusion, with the aim of preventing consumer losses due to the purchase of mislabeled cooking oil.

The MinyaKita case has recently become public limelight. It originated with the discovery that 1-liter packages contained only 700 to 900 milliliters of oil. The Food Task Force initially found these discrepancies during an inspection at Lenteng Agung Market in South Jakarta.

The Food Task Force also found three producers involved in packaging MinyaKita with incorrect measurements: PT Artha Eka Global Asia in Depok, West Java; Cooperative of MSME Integrated Groups Nusantara in Kudus, Central Java; and PT Tunas Agro Indolestari in Tangerang, Banten.
