Jakarta – Amid the significant spike in COVID-19 cases across the country, President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo has threatened regional administrations with a "stern warning" if the rise in infections continued unabated.

The latest spike brings the total nationwide tally to 557,877 confirmed cases, 17,355 of which have ended deadly, while 462,553 patients have recovered.
