Antara, Jakarta – Military and police personnel under the Nemangkawi task force in Papua has apprehended one of the leaders of a local armed criminal group, Senaf Soll, on Wednesday. Soll was also a former soldier for the Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI).

"There was an arrest against the suspect and is now apprehended at the Yahukimo Police sector in Dekai," said Papua Police General Crime Director, Grand Commissioner Faizal Ramadhani on September 2, Antaranews reported.

The criminal group led by Senaf Soll, who's original name is Ananias Yaluka, had reportedly killed and attacked Indonesian authorities in the past such as the attack on two military personnel of Linux infantry battalion and the killing of a Yahukimo KPU staff.

Senaf Soll was discharged from the Armed Forces in 2019 following the Jayapura military court verdict. He was discharged after being found guilty of selling and purchasing firearms and ammunition in the Mimika District as an Army Private.
