Jakarta – The National Police signed a memorandum of understanding Tuesday with Britain to increase police cooperation between the two countries to combat transnational crimes and terrorism.
Speaking after signing the agreement with National Police chief Gen. Sutanto, British Ambassador to Indonesia Charles Humfrey said the deal followed up a meeting between President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and British Prime Minister Tony Blair when Blair visited Indonesia last week.
The cooperation agreement covers information exchanges, human resources development and equipment.
