Celvin Moniaga Sipahutar, Jakarta – President Prabowo Subianto has ruled out the possibility of a cabinet reshuffle in the near future, citing satisfaction with the performance of his ministers just eight months into the administration.

Speaking at a plenary cabinet meeting at the Presidential Palace on Wednesday, Prabowo said there were no immediate plans to shake up the Merah Putih Cabinet, which was formed on October 21, 2024.

Several ministers confirmed the president's remarks following the closed-door session.

"Yes, the president said there won't be a reshuffle," Chief Food Affairs Minister Zulkifli Hasan told reporters.

Creative Economy Minister Teuku Riefky also confirmed the president's position. "It was conveyed that there will be no reshuffle," he said, without providing details.

Tourism Minister Widiyanti Putri Wardhana said the decision was based on the president's satisfaction with the ministers' current performance. "He's pleased and happy with how his ministers are working," she told reporters.

Chief Infrastructure and Regional Development Minister Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) echoed the sentiment, saying Prabowo expressed confidence in the cabinet's direction and achievements to date.

According to AHY, the president highlighted positive outcomes such as the country's 5.12 percent year-on-year economic growth in the second quarter of 2025 and a surplus in food production.

"The president believes we're on the right track," AHY said. "Of course, cabinet reshuffles are the president's prerogative, but for now, our focus must remain on working hard to deliver on his programs."

AHY said that his ministry remains committed to supporting key national priorities, including food and energy self-sufficiency, as well as improving human capital through better education and healthcare services.

"While the current progress is promising, we cannot afford to be complacent," he concluded.
