Jakarta – The latest survey by the Indonesian Survey Institute (LSI) shows that presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto is ahead of his competitors in the second round of the 2024 presidential election simulation. Prabowo gained more votes from respondents compared to Ganjar Pranowo and Anies Baswedan.

Prabowo won 49.2 percent of the vote in the simulation against Ganjar Pranowo's 39.7 percent. Djayadi said that there were still 11.1 percent that had were still undecided.

"Because he hasn't reached 50 percent, Prabowo's position is not secure even though he has a great potential to win," LSI director Djayadi Hanan, Wednesday, May 3.

When Prabowo is put head-to-head with Anies, the Minister of Defense won with 51.7 percent of the votes over Anies' 35.8 percent.

In the Anies versus Ganjar simulation, the Central Java Governor won with 46.7 percent of the vote while Anies got 39.2 percent.

"The results are statistically significant. The gap is more than 6 percent. But Ganjar has not received 50 percent, while there are 14 percent who do not have a choice. So, we don't know who will win," Djayadi said.

The LSI survey was held on April 12-17, 2023 using the multistage random sampling method. LSI said respondents were interviewed face to face by trained interviewers. The margin of error for this survey is approximately 2.9 percent with a confidence level of 95 percent.
