Antara, Jakarta – Chairman of the Great Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra) Prabowo Subianto and his brother, who is also the Deputy Chairman of Gerindra Hashim Djojohadikusumo, welcomed former Chairman of the People Conscience Party (Hanura) Wiranto in Hambalang on Monday, May 1, 2023.

Wiranto came with his cadres at around 5:25 PM Western Indonesian Time using a tourist bus and a Hiace van.

Also present in the meeting was former Speaker of the House of Representatives Marzukie Ali, former Chairman of the PSSI Mochamad Iriawan, or Iwan Bule, Secretary General of Gerindra Ahmad Muzani, and several other high-ranking Gerindra officials.

Prabowo considers Wiranto to have fulfilled his promised of coming to Hambalang made last year. "Alhamdulillah it can happen, because the road is long, someone who come here means that they want to become friends," Prabowo said in front of Wiranto.

Prabowo then, explained to Wiranto that the building they are visiting is the Garuda Yaksa Hermitage, where Gerindra cadres are trained, which also functions as a farm.

"This is our education center, here we can accept and train up to 1,200 cadres, and one of the goal is to make this a campus or school. The concept is House of Growth," Prabowo said.

Meanwhile, Wiranto said that he had promised to visit Hambalang since last year. However, there were many obstacles, including the Covid-19 pandemic.

"I have promised to visit this hermitage, Garuda Yaksa. Last year there was Covid and everything else and it was delayed. But its better late than never. My intention is to visit," Wiranto said, who is also the Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Council

Wiranto hoped that his relationship with Prabowo would improve following his visit to Hambalang.
