Antara, Jakarta – Indonesia's Presidential Palace continues to implement strict health protocols even though the number of Covid-19 cases in Indonesia is declining. Head of the Presidential Secretariat, Heru Budi Hartono, said that the decision was made after coordinating with related institutions and organizations.
"After coordinating with the Military Secretariat, the Presidential Security Forces, and the Presidential Doctors Team, we decided to continue applying strict health protocols within the Palace," Heru said in a press release in Jakarta, Wednesday, March 16.
According to Heru, guests meeting the President are mandated to take a PCR test the day before or within 24 hours of the last PCR test result.
The provision, he said, is not only applied to presidential guests visiting the palace, but also those whom the president meets outside the palace during a working visit.
"Therefore, were ask for the understanding of regional officials – from governors, police chiefs, regents, mayors, as well as community leaders who will welcome or accompany the President while in the area, to take a PCR test first," he said.
As the issue is informed to the official beforehand, Heru apologized if officials who only showed antigen test results are not allowed to meet the president.
