M Yusuf Manurung, Jakarta – Hundreds of Democrat Party cadres in the Capital City held a blood thumbprint event to declare their loyalty to General Chairman Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono or AHY.
The event was held at the DPD office of the Jakarta Democratic Party, Jalan Bambu Apus Raya, Cipayung, East Jakarta, on Sunday, March 7, 2021.
"This is done not only as a form of our loyalty to AHY, this activity is also part of our attitude towards the injustices committed by the current authorities," said the Chairman of the DPD Jakarta Democrat Party, Santoso, before the event began.
Santoso said the blood thumbprint event was carried out by all members of the DPD, DPC and PAC Democrat Party in Jakarta. According to him, the thumbprint participants were also confirmed not to take part in the Extraordinary Congress (KLB) in Deli Serdang, North Sumatra.
"DPD Jakarta remains solid in supporting AHY and no one has crossed over to the fake KLB camp."
This blood thumbprint event was held after the outbreak by a number of Democrat Party cadres who were disappointed with AHY's leadership. The KLB was held in Sibolangit, Deli Serdang, North Sumatra on Friday, March 5. The results of the Democrat KLB determine Moeldoko as General Chair for the 2021-2025 period.
