Budiarti Utami Putri, Jakarta – Spokesman for the Prabowo Subianto – Sandiaga Uno electoral campaign team Ahmad Riza Patria said that his team's candidates will put forth corruption and legal issues. Riza said that there are many corruption-related issues to highlight in the Jokowi administration for the upcoming debate.

"It's clear that the attempt to eradicate corruption in Jokowi's era has not succeeded. Law enforcement was not neutral and unjust," said Riza when Tempo contacted him on Thursday, January 3, 2019.

Riza said that Prabowo and Sandiaga will underline the law enforcement in Indonesia that they considered to be biased and favors people on the higher economic level and against people that are less fortunate.

As of human rights issues, the opposition candidates will mainly talk about President Jokowi's failure to implement the nine key development programs, known as the Nawacita.

The first presidential debate will take place in January 17, 2019, at Hotel Bidakara in South Jakarta. This debate will discuss pressing issues such as the country's law, human rights, corruption, and terrorism.

The debate will be aired live on state-run broadcaster TVRI, Kompas TV, state-run radio broadcaster RRI, and Rajawali TV.
