Sultan Abdurrahman, Jakarta – President Prabowo Subianto invited his former military aides and personal guards to his private residence in Hambalang, Bogor, on Sunday, March 8, 2026.
The gathering reunited officers who had previously served with Prabowo in the Army Strategic Reserves Command (Kostrad) and the Special Forces Command (Kopassus) during his active military career.
Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said eight former aides attended the meeting.
"President Prabowo Subianto called and had a gathering with all his former aides and guards during his service in Kostrad and Kopassus, or when he was still active in the TNI 30 years ago," Teddy said in a written statement on Monday, March 9, 2026.
"The gathering took place at the President's private residence in Hambalang."
Teddy noted that the guests had taken diverse career paths after serving as aides and guards for Prabowo.
"Some are still serving as TNI soldiers, while others have retired. One of them also shared that his son, who was educated by the President, has now graduated and found a job," he said.
In addition to meeting his former aides and guards, President Prabowo held a series of five strategic meetings at Hambalang on Sunday. Teddy said the first meeting discussed collaboration on developing ten new campuses across Indonesia.
The second meeting focused on the progress of existing universities, aiming to improve their global rankings and establish partnerships with leading international institutions.
The third meeting addressed developments in the Middle East, particularly following U.S. and Israeli military attacks on Iran, which resulted in the deaths of several Gulf state leaders," Teddy explained.
The fourth meeting discussed the progress of Palestinian students studying at the Defense University. And the final meeting focused on ensuring the security and smooth flow of the annual Eid al-Fitr exodus.
