Sultan Abdurrahman, Jakarta – President Prabowo Subianto conducted a significant cabinet reshuffle ahead of the two-year mark of his administration. On Thursday, October 1, 2026, Prabowo appointed 18 officials to new positions.
The inauguration took place at the State Palace in Jakarta. Nanik Purwanti, the Deputy for State Apparatus Administration under the Ministry of the State Secretariat, read the presidential decree that served as the basis for each official's appointment.
"With the grace of Almighty God, the President of the Republic of Indonesia, considering and so forth, remembering and so forth, decides, stipulates and so forth," said Nanik while reading the decree letters.
President Prabowo then dictated the oath of office to each appointee. He appeared to be accompanied by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka. The process continued with the President and the appointed officials signing the minutes.
Some of the appointees were former officials in the Red and White Cabinet and are now taking on new roles. Here is the list of the 18 officials appointed by Prabowo:
1. Bahlil Lahadalia as Coordinating Minister for Downstreaming and Energy Transition;
2. Sugiono as Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Cultural Affairs;
3. Dudung Abdurachman as Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs;
4. Arrmanatha Christiawan Nasir as Minister of Foreign Affairs;
5. Muhammad Sarmuji as Minister of Industry;
6. Drajad Hari Wibowo as Deputy Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs;
7. Nurkholisoh Ibnu Aman as Deputy Minister of Finance;
8. Luky Alfirman as Deputy Minister of Finance;
9. Muhammad Saleh Mustafa as Deputy Minister of Agriculture;
10. Irwan Meilano as Deputy Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries.
11. Listyo Sigit Prabowo as Presidential Chief of Staff;
12. Dedi Prasetyo as Head of the National Agrarian Reform Agency.
13. Hardianto Wibowo as Deputy Head of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency;
14. Muhammad Fadil Imran as Deputy Head of the North Java Coast Management Authority Agency;
15. Nuzran Joher as Chairperson of the Indonesian Ombudsman;
16. Rahadiansyah as Member of the Indonesian Ombudsman;
17. Suyudi Ario Seto as Chief of the National Police;
18. Wahyu Hadiningrat as Deputy Chief of the National Police.
This reshuffle takes place three weeks before the second anniversary of Prabowo's term. The Gerindra Party chair was inaugurated on October 20, 2024.
