Sultan Abdurrahman, Jakarta – The elite ranks of the National Awakening Party (PKB) met with President Prabowo Subianto at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. Although various topics were addressed during the meeting, PKB Chairperson Muhaimin Iskandar noted that his party and the President did not discuss the possibility of a cabinet reshuffle.

The reshuffle rumors emerged after Thomas Djiwandono, Prabowo's nephew, vacated his position as Deputy Finance Minister to assume the role of Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia. Meanwhile, PKB remains one of the government-supporting parties with several representatives currently serving in Prabowo's cabinet.

According to Muhaimin, who also serves as the Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment Affairs, his party did not broach the subject of a reshuffle during the discussion with Prabowo. "We didn't mention that at all," Muhaimin remarked after the meeting.

He explained that PKB's visit to the Presidential Palace today was their own initiative. Muhaimin stated that PKB requested the audience with President Prabowo for the purpose of introducing new officials from the central to regional levels.

"We met to introduce our new colleagues, such as the provincial chairpersons, whom we consider vital for carrying out tasks in their respective regions," Muhaimin added.

During the meeting, Muhaimin also expressed PKB's satisfaction with Prabowo's leadership. "We are satisfied under President Prabowo's leadership, and we believe that Pak Prabowo will successfully lead us not only for the next five years, but [potentially] for the next ten years," he said.

Some of the PKB officials present at today's meeting included PKB Secretary General Hasanuddin Wahid, PKB Deputy Chair Jazilul Fawaid, and PKB Deputy Chair and Deputy Speaker of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) Cucun Ahmad Syamsurijal, alongside the Chair of the PKB Central Executive Board for Legislative and Executive Affairs, Abdul Halim Iskandar. In addition, the chairpersons of the PKB regional leadership councils (DPW) from all provinces participated in the forum.

Prior to the meeting, PKB Deputy Chair Faisol Riza stated that his party intended to convey various inputs to the President. "PKB is meeting with the President to convey many inputs and views on current societal developments, and we are also expressing support for the ongoing presidential programs," Faisol said before entering the Presidential Palace.
