Antara, Jakarta – Deputy Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) General Tandyo Budi Revita claims that the food produced in the TNI's free nutritious meal kitchen (MBG) meets quality standards. Tandyo made the statement in response to reports of residents experiencing food poisoning after consuming MBG in several areas.
"I believe that the MBG built by the TNI is hygienic. The reports so far have been filled with several nutrition fulfillment service units (SPPG) that are less professional," said Tandyo while opening an International Taekwondo competition at the Ahmad Yani Sports Hall, TNI Headquarters, Cilangkap, East Jakarta, on Friday, September 26, 2025.
Tandyo claims that the entire food production process in the free nutritious meal kitchen has met certain standards. The food ingredients processed are ensured to be hygienic and have nutritional value.
He said that, currently, the TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto, along with the staff officers, is in Solo to inaugurate the MBG program.
Tandyo hopes that the MBG program, which is set to launch in Solo, will provide the community with free nutritious meals.
"Hopefully, the TNI Commander can straighten this out so that government programs that directly benefit the community can be well implemented," explained Tandyo.
