Melynda Dwi Puspita, Jakarta – Ragowo Hediprasetyo Djojohadikusumo, better known as Didit Hediprasetyo and the only son of President Prabowo Subianto, sits on the board of a foundation managing a kitchen under Indonesia's Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program in Kebayunan, Tapos District, Depok, West Java.

Tempo's investigative report, "Prabowo's Family and Cronies in the Free Nutritious Meals Project" (published Sunday, April 20), cites documents from the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) identifying the Kebayunan kitchen – officially known as a Nutritional Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) – as operated by PT GSI. A separate presentation from the Ministry of Agriculture's Directorate General of Horticulture outlines PT GSI's structure.

According to that presentation, the kitchen is run by PT GSI Kebayunan, a business entity under the National Solidarity Movement Foundation (Yayasan Gerakan Solidaritas Nasional or GSN), which was founded by Prabowo, who still serves as its chief patron.

Didit is not the only familiar name on the foundation's board. His uncle, Hashim Djojohadikusumo – Prabowo's brother and the presidential envoy for climate and energy – also holds a seat. Others include Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin and Pertamina CEO Simon Aloysius Mantiri.

BGN chief Dadan Hindayana confirmed the GSN Foundation is among the MBG program's official partners. Despite its links to the president, Dadan insisted the foundation does not have a special grip on the project.

"I will shut things down if I see anyone trying to corner the market," Dadan said when interviewed at Menara Mandiri in Jakarta on Tuesday, April 8.

Responding to questions over the foundation's role, GSN Chairman Teguh Arief Indratmoko said the group underwent standard registration and vetting, just like other participating partners. He also noted that at one point, BGN had deemed their kitchen not ready to join the program rollout. Teguh stressed their involvement was not driven by presidential orders.

"To this day, Mr. Prabowo does not know we're operating a kitchen for the nutritious meals program," Teguh wrote in a letter sent to Tempo's Jakarta newsroom on Wednesday, March 5.

Meanwhile, Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Chair Setyo Budiyanto has raised red flags over the risk of fraud and irregularities in the program's implementation. During a meeting with BGN at KPK's headquarters the same day, Setyo pointed to reports of favoritism in selecting SPPG operators and managing physical construction and supply chains.

"Vague reports have been going around about special treatment in how kitchens are chosen, built, or stocked. That's a serious concern and needs to be cleaned up," he said.
