Septia Ryanthie, Solo – Former Indonesian President Joko Widodo or Jokowi has refuted claims of a "twin sun" leadership after several ministers and deputy ministers from President Prabowo Subianto's cabinet visited him in Solo, Central Java.

"There is only one sun, President Prabowo Subianto, clear," Jokowi stated firmly to reporters at his residence on Monday, April 21, 2025.

He clarified that the visits were social calls, particularly during the Eid al-Fitr holiday. "A social visit during Eid al-Fitr is good for anyone," he said.

Jokowi, father of Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, also confirmed that no policy advice or input was sought during the meetings. "Just a regular social visit, and that's good," he reiterated.

The "twin sun" speculation arose following the visits by Prabowo's cabinet members while the President was on an official trip to Turkey and the Middle East from April 9-15, 2025.

Red and White Cabinet Ministers who visited Jokowi since the first day of Eid al-Fitr (March 31, 2025) include Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Pratikno, Cooperative Minister Budi Arie Setiadi, Finance Minister Sri Mulyani, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia, Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan, Minister of Population and Family Development Wihaji, Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin, and Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Minister Sakti Wahyu Trenggono.

Deputy ministers who also met with Jokowi include Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Bima Arya Sugiarto, Deputy Minister of Manpower Immanuel Ebenezer Gerungan, and Deputy Minister of Agriculture Sudaryono, who visited on Sunday evening, April 20, 2025.
