Intan Setiawanty, Jakarta – The Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) has officially provided protection for Tempo journalist who has become the target of pig's head terror and the carcasses of rats. This decision was made during the Board Meeting of LPSK on April 9, 2025.

"We have decided to provide protection," said LPSK Vice Chair Susilaningtias to Tempo when contacted on Sunday, April 13, 2025. However, she could not disclose the details of the protection to ensure the safety of those who have been targeted.

LPSK previously reviewed the request submitted by the Indonesian Journalist Safety Committee (KKJ). The request included seven names: six members of Tempo's editorial team and the mother of Fransisca Christy Rosana, also known as Cica, a Tempo journalist who has been the primary target of a series of terror since last March.

Tempo was targeted at least twice in March. First, Tempo received a box containing a pig's head on March 19, 2025. The package was sent using an online motorcycle taxi service.

The pig's head terror was directed at Cica, the host of the Bocor Alus Politik program. Tempo's editor-in-chief, Setri Yasa, then reported this terror to the Indonesian National Police's Criminal Investigation Department (Bareskrim) on March 20, 2025.

A day later, on March 21, 2025, Tempo received another terror in the form of six rat carcasses. The package was found by janitorial staff in Tempo's building yard.

In addition to these two terror packages, Cica also became a victim of doxxing. Her private number was circulated on social media, and her mother's instant messaging application was hacked.

So far, the investigators from the General Crime Directorate of the Bareskrim Polri have obtained CCTV footage and questioned the courier who delivered the pig's head terror. However, until now, it is still unclear who the sender is.
