Ilona Estherina, Jakarta – The implementation of agrarian reform on the Land Management Rights (HPL) of the Land Bank in the Nusantara Capital City, or IKN, has entered the final stage.
The Head of the Land Bank, Parman Nataatmadja, stated that the reform targeted the residents affected by IKN development, including those residing in the areas of IKN airport and toll road development.
The Land Bank has assets covering 4,162 hectares in the new capital city, of which 1,873 hectares have been designated for agrarian reform. The implementation is in collaboration with the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) and the Agrarian Reform Task Force (GTRA).
"The process is nearing completion," Parman said in an official statement quoted on Monday, November 4, 2024, adding that the land certificates will be issued upon completion.
The Land Bank, formed by former President Joko Widodo, has been instructed to allot at least 30 percent of its assets to agrarian reform. Citing its official website, the Land Bank has land reserve assets covering 19,409.6 hectares spread across 30 regencies/cities throughout Indonesia.
The agrarian reform in North Penajam Paser, East Kalimantan, is carried out in several stages. In the initial stage, around 400 hectares of land are allocated for residents affected by the development of the IKN airport and the 5B section of the IKN toll road.
According to Parman, the beneficiaries of this program have been requested to manage the land objects for agrarian reform (TORA) optimally and productively, thereby receiving more than just land, but also crop replacement through the Social and Community Impact Handling (PDSK) scheme.
