Antara, Jakarta – More investors will break ground on their respective projects in the new capital Nusantara next week, according to the Public Works Ministry.
This will mark the seventh groundbreaking phase. The vice presidential palace is also among the projects that will begin construction next week.
"We will hold the groundbreaking ceremonies for the vice presidential palace and the seventh-phase investors on Aug. 12," the ministry's spokesperson Endra S Atmawidjaja said in Jakarta on Wednesday, as reported by the state-run news agency Antara.
According to Endra, the investors are coming from the private sector, namely the bank BCA, hospitality giant Swiss-Belhotel, resource-based industrial group Royal Golden Eagle, and property firm Intiland. The groundbreaking ceremonies are also scheduled to take place after the cabinet meeting, which will be on the same day.
The vice presidential palace is not in the same complex as that of the president's due to security reasons.
To date, as many as 45 investors have held their groundbreaking ceremonies.
