Muhammad Aulia, Jakarta – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is currently investigating alleged massive corruption within Taspen, a state-owned insurer specializing in providing pension fund schemes for civil servants and service members.

On Friday, investigators conducted searches for evidence at the Taspen headquarters in Central Jakarta and the office of a private company in South Jakarta as part of the ongoing investigation, according to KPK spokesman Ali Fikri.

This development follows earlier searches at four houses and an apartment unit across Jakarta on Thursday.

"During Thursday's searches, our team confiscated investment documents, electronic devices, and banknotes in foreign currencies," Ali said.

"All the confiscated materials will be analyzed soon before witnesses are summoned for depositions," he added.

The commission has also requested the immigration office to impose a travel ban on two executives.

"To support the ongoing investigation into alleged corruption in Taspen, we have requested a travel ban against two individuals – a state employee and a private citizen – to ensure they remain in the country," Ali said.

Sources have identified the individuals as Taspen President Director Antonius Kosasih and Insight Investments Management CEO Ekiawan Heri Primaryanto.

The suspected graft scandal has allegedly caused hundreds of billions of rupiah in state losses, but Ali declined to provide details pending the preliminary investigation.

State-Owned Enterprise Minister Erick Thohir stated in a statement that his office "respects the ongoing legal proceedings related to an alleged corruption case in Taspen."
