Andrew Tito, Jakarta – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is auctioning a series of confiscated assets, including a factory in Bogor valued at Rp 60.6 billion ($3.6 million) and a house in Kupang owned by former House Speaker Setya Novanto, officials announced on Tuesday.

Director of Asset Tracing and Evidence Management Mungki Hadipratikto said the auction deadline is December 9, coinciding with the commemoration of International Anti-Corruption Day.

The Kupang house, seized as part of Setya's criminal proceedings, sits on 550 square meters of land and will be offered with a starting price of Rp 2.1 billion, Mungki said.

Setya – convicted in the multi-trillion-rupiah electronic ID (e-KTP) corruption scandal – was paroled in August 2025 after serving two-thirds of his reduced sentence. He was originally sentenced to 15 years in 2018, later reduced by the Supreme Court to 12.5 years, with an order to repay $7.3 million to the state.

Mungki said all seized properties have been independently appraised, and the published values reflect auction-day sale limits.

"The most valuable non-movable asset is a factory located in the Bogor area," he said.

"December 9 is both the final deadline for bid submissions and the date when the auction winners will be announced."

According to KPK, the properties to be auctioned carry a combined valuation of Rp 282.9 billion ($17 million). The auction will be held through 20 regional auction offices nationwide.

In addition to property holdings, the auction catalog includes luxury cars, designer bags and shoes, gold and jewelry, electronics, and even an automated disinfection robot, with the non-property category valued at Rp 6.68 billion.

KPK has already conducted three asset auctions in 2025. The commission says the proceeds will be transferred to the state treasury.
