Mirza Bagaskara, Jakarta – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) spokesman Ali Fikri said the Papua People's Assembly or MRP chairman Timotius Murib had undergone an examination on February 20, 2023. He said Murib was grilled over the alleged flow of funds in the graft case of Papua Governor Lukas Enembe.
"On Monday, February 20, in KPK's Merah Putih building, the team of investigators examined the witness," said Ali in a written statement, on Wednesday, February 22.
Other than the alleged flow of graft funds, the anti-graft body conducted the examination to confirm the alleged purchase of assets using the funds received by the suspect, Lukas Enembe.
Murib was not the only witness summoned by KPK. On the same day, the KPK called in four other witnesses.
"The witnesses are a housewife Dessy Irriani Yelepele, witness Yonater Karomba's wife Dani Fitri Yelepele, a housewife Heni Nurhaeni, and commissioner Austikarini Ambar Wati [from a private party]," Ali explained.
Lukas Enembe was named a suspect in a bribery case for a number of development projects in Papua. He allegedly received Rp1 billion from the Director of PT Tabi Bangun Papua, Rijantono Lakka, who was then named a suspect as a bribe giver.
