Fajar Pebrianto, Jakarta – President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo on Monday officially inaugurated two state agency leaders with former Cabinet Secretary Andi Widjajanto appointed as head of the National Resilience Institute (Lemhanas) and Rajawali Nusantara (RNI) president director Arief Prasetyo Adi as the new Head of National Food Agency (BPN).
Their inauguration is mentioned under Presidential Decree No. 21 P/2022 and No. 7 M/2022.
Andi Widjajanto will be given financial and administrative rights at the ministerial level. Meanwhile, Arief will be given financial, administrative, and other facilities according to the legislation.
After reading out the Presidential Decree, Jokowi immediately took the oath of office for the two new officials. Vice President Ma'ruf Amin was also present in the event held at the State Palace in Jakarta on February 21.
The National Food Agency is a new entity the President formed through Presidential Regulation (Perpres) No. 66/2021, which is an injunction of theJob Creation Act. Arief Prasetyo once served as President Director of Food Station – a food company owned by DKI Jakarta Province from 2015-2020.
Andi was elected as Lemhanas Governor after the position had remained vacant after it was left by Agus Widjojo, who was appointed as the Indonesian Ambassador for the Republic of Philippines earlier in January this year.
