Rp 1.1 billion generated from health protocol fines: Satpol PP

Adam Prireza, Jakarta – Jakarta Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) announced on Thursday that they managed to collect Rp1.1 billion-worth of health protocol violation fines from January 10 up to June 9, 2021.

The Satpol PP Instagram account posted statistics which recorded 270,270 face mask protocol violations with 264,783 violators handed social work punishments while the 5,508 people paid a various amount of fines.

The agency is also responsible to overlook 49,473 restaurants and cafes that violate physical distancing measures with 599 violators being handed temporary closures, dispersed crowds in 310 locations, and handed written warnings for 4,251 locations.

Offices, business outlets, and industries are also under the supervision of the Satpol PP during the Covid-19 pandemic and found 3,474 businesses violating health protocols throughout January-June.
