Yudha Baskoro – Greenpeace activists installed dozens of mannequins in front of the House of Representatives during a protest against the pro-corporation omnibus bills currently being deliberated by lawmakers on Monday.

Rights activists have been demanding that the lawmakers reject the controversial bills, which they say are too lenient on corporations.

Greenpeace Indonesia's Forest Campaigners say the investment-oriented bills are a great threat to the environment.

Recently, when everyone's attention was focused on the coronavirus pandemic, the House quietly approved revisions to the Mining Law that failed to incorporate objections from environmentalists and indigenous people whose lives are threatened by mining activities.

Greenpeace demanded that the House reject all bills that favor the extractive industry – including mining and plantation – for threatening environmental sustainability and indigenous people and paying scant attention to human rights.
