Kartika Anggraeni, M. Julnis Firmansyah, Jakarta – The Indonesian Federal Health Care and Social Security Agency (BPJS Kesehatan) has been urged to quickly pay off their obligation to a number of its partnering hospitals by the Indonesian Private Hospital Association (ARSSI).
"The BPJS Kesehatan had partially paid off their duties, but now it has run out again," said ARSSI Chairman Ichsan Hanafi on Sunday, January 6. The remaining payments are those that have yet met its deadline.
Ichsan has pushed for the BPJS to quickly pay out their obligation since he worries that it will only hamper the healthcare operations and cash flow of those hospitals.
Previously, as per January 1st, the BPJS Kesehatan simultaneously terminated its partnership with numerous hospitals that have yet renewed its accreditation certificate. This move was met with criticism from consumer protection groups that claimed the BPJS lack transparency since both, Ministry or BPJS provided any statement on the exact hospitals that it decided to end its partnership with.
