Antara, Jakarta – The Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Ministry's Directorate General of Housing said that the official residences of ministers in the new capital city of Nusantara are targeted to be occupiable and lived-in by mid-2024.
The Director General of Housing, Iwan Suprijanto, said on Friday that Iwan added that the construction of the 36 official housing units began late last year. As of August, construction progress has reached 22.86 percent.
Before being declared fit for habitation, the PUPR Ministry will conduct an inspection or commissioning in July 2024.
The inspection includes, among others, checking the lights and water supplies, layouts, building eligibility, and others. The inspection aims to ensure that the buildings at IKN Nusantara are properly livable.
The houses are fully furnished, two-story buildings with a size of 580 square meters, each unit standing on 1,000 square meters of land.
