Jakarta (Antara) – Institute Criminal of Justice Reform (ICJR) Executive Director Anggara criticized the speech delivered by president-elect Joko "Jokowi" Widodo entitled "Visi Indonesia" on Sunday.

IJCR deemed the president was keen on talking about the country's economics and failed to mention the country's law and enforcement of human rights issues, which he deemed essential. He asserts that sturdy legal enforcement is needed to guarantee a sense of business certainty in Indonesia.

"The development of a legal state needs to be the prioritized agenda of the Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin administration," said Anggara in a written statement on Monday, July 15.

The president's speech on Sunday focused on delivering five visions consisting of infrastructure development, improving the quality of human resources through education and health insurance, attracting investors, bureaucracy reform, and allocating the State Budget (APBN) for the prosperity of Indonesians.

Responding to ICJR's criticism, Arsul Sani from Jokowi's campaign team (TKN) deputy said that there are many subjects that were officially handed to the General Elections Commission (KPU) during Jokowi's candidacy and that not every topic could be crammed inside the duration of Jokowi's speech.
