Jakarta (Antara) – The advisory board chairman of the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) Salim Segaf Aljufri accompanied by the PKS Faction head of the House of Representatives (DPR) Jazuli Juwaini and a number of PKS executives visited Monday, April 8 the Islamic Front Defender (FPI) leader Rizieq Shihab at his residence in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

"The PKS meeting with Habib Rizieq has been done many times. This shows the close relationship between Habib Rizieq and PKS," said Jazuli in a written statement in Jakarta, on Monday.

The sessions, Jazuli added, aimed solely at discussing the interests of the people, the nation, and the country as well as discussion on how to generate Indonesia with the majority of Muslim as a dignified, just, and prosperous nation.

According to Jazuli, Rizieq Shihab expressed his high appreciation for the commitment and hard work of the PKS in defending Islam, the nation, and the state and guarding the results of Ijtima' Ulama or ulema congregation as well.

"He [Rizieq Shihab] clearly and firmly instructs the FPI members across Indonesia to win the PKS," Jazuli said.

Rizieq Shihab expects that the PKS can succeed in the 2019 general elections as to support a better, fairer, and more prosperous government.

Rizieq believes PKS as the only Islamic party in the Prabowo-Sandi coalition party will continuously uphold the mandate of the people and become the aspirations of Muslims.

Meanwhile, Salim Segaf Aljufri ensured his party would continue to carry out the mandate decided by Ijtima' Ulama in which noting the support for Prabowo – Sandiaga in the 2019 Presidential Election.
