Dewi Nurita, Jakarta – The latest news coming from the Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin campaign team treasurer reported that it managed to collect IDR 55.9 billion in campaign funds (LPSDK) up to January 2, 2019.
The total number has added a substantial IDR 44 billion to the IDR 11 billion from the initial campaign fund (LADK). "The funds came from the candidates, individuals, political parties, groups, and non-governmental entities," said the Jokowi-Ma'ruf campaign team treasurer Sakti Wahyu Trenggono on Wednesday, Thursday, January 3, 2019.
The funds itself, according to Trenggono, is not from the private funds of the candidates but is the bank interests from the initial bank account. Moreover, the campaign finance is broken down to; IDR121 billion from individuals, IDR 2 billion form political parties, IDR 37 billion from groups, and IDR 3 billion from non-governmental organizations.
Meanwhile, Jokowi's competitor Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno reported collective campaign finance up to IDR 54 billion. This comprises of Sandiaga Uno himself supplying 70 percent of the total amount with IDR 39.5 billion, followed by Prabowo Subianto donating up to IDR 13.054 billion, Gerindra Party with IDR 1.389 billion and the rest that were provided by others.
