Rofiqi Hasan (Kontributor), Denpasar – Terror through the delivery of pig's head was experienced by the Papuan Student Alliance in Bali. The incident is suspected to be related to the planned publication of the book 'Papua Bergerak' (Papua Moves).
"We will report this case to the Legal Aid Institute of Bali," said Yuno Tagi, one of the activists of the Papuan Student Alliance on Monday, June 9, 2025.
The act of terror took place on Friday, June 6, 2025, at Jl.Tukad Yeh Aya Number 52, Renon, South Denpasar, Bali. Several activists who lived in the rented house received a delivery through Grab, a package wrapped in layered plastic bags.
The recipients were two activists, Bolikam and Muno Yesaya. Upon opening the package, a foul stench emanated from it, which contained the skull bones of a pig.
"There was also rotten flesh still attached to the bones, so the smell was really strong," said Yuno.
After taking photos and recording videos, the pig's head was disposed of in the front trash area of the rented house.
Prior to this, Papuan students in Denpasar, Bali, were sent two packages containing rotten pig's heads on Friday, June 6, 2025. The news was confirmed by the Chairman of the Papuan Student Alliance, Jeeno Alfred Dogomo, on Saturday, June 7, 2025.
The packages were addressed to Wemison Enembe and Yuberthinus Gobay, accompanied by a contact number and information about the book 'Papua Bergerak' (Papua Moves).
After receiving the packages, the students then checked the contents, finding no books, but instead, the carcass of an animal.
"It turned out to be a package containing the rotten head of a pig along with soil. Friends were shocked and immediately covered their noses because of the smell," said Jeeno to Tempo via WhatsApp message on Saturday, June 7, 2025.
The alliance's student members then conducted a check through the Get Contact application to inspect the number written on the package. The check revealed the alleged sender's name as Made Budawan.
Verification of the alleged sender matched several profile photos on the sender's WhatsApp number, as well as several social media pages such as Facebook. The Papuan Student Alliance observed several pictures of the logo on the clothes worn by the alleged sender related to the community organization Ksatria Dalem Tarukan Kampuh Poleng Tanpa Tepi.
According to Jeeno, the package containing the rotten pig's head that was received yesterday was delivered to two student rented houses. The first at 3:00 PM and the second at 7:00 PM local time.
Wemison, who received the package, is an activist of the Papuan Student Alliance Bali City Committee. He serves as the Chairman of the Papuan Student Alliance Bali. Meanwhile, Yuberthinus, Jeeno said, is a national board member of the Papuan Student Alliance.
