Hendrik Yaputra, Jakarta – Hasan Nasbi confirmed that he was asked to continue serving as Head of the Presidential Communication Office (PCO) by Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, a request he accepted, hence he canceled his resignation.
He stated that the decision was motivated by his loyalty to President Prabowo Subianto. "I am loyal to the president," Hasan said at the Kwarnas Building, Medan Merdeka Timur, Jakarta, on Tuesday, May 6, 2025.
Hasan stated that the reason for resigning was due to something that could not be resolved. However, Hasan did not specify the reason. "Certainly, in the future, it will be better. There's no need to elaborate," he said.
Hasan admitted that his previous resignation was not due to anger. Looking ahead, Hasan hopes for better communication. Especially since Prasetyo and Teddy promised to help him if there was something that could not be resolved.
Hasan Nasbi previously attended the Full Cabinet Session at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, on Monday, May 5, 2025.
Hasan, who had previously held the position of Head of the Presidential Communication Office, was present at the session chaired by Prabowo, which was attended by all members of the red and white cabinet.
Earlier, when asked about Hasan Nasbi's resignation from the PCO role, Prabowo chose not to provide a statement and simply smiled in response.
The moment occurred after Prabowo took part in the launch of an education assistance program at SDN Cimahpar 5, located in Bogor Regency, West Java.
As he greeted members of the public and shook hands, a journalist asked, "Sir, has Hasan Nasbi's resignation letter been approved?" The question was repeated twice, but Prabowo did not answer.
The President then turned away and concluded the handshaking session with the crowd, quickly departing the venue by boarding the white MV3 Garuda Limousine, also known as the Maung Garuda.
Previously, it was reported that President Prabowo was still deliberating Hasan Nasbi's resignation. He confirmed that Prabowo planned to review the matter before making a decision.
"We have reported Mr. Hasan Nasbi's resignation plan, but the president will study it first," Prasetyo said on April 30, 2025.
Prasetyo couldn't confirm when Prabowo would sign the resignation, as it required assessing the proposal's appropriateness. He also suggested that Prabowo might not agree with the resignation.
Prabowo was scheduled to meet with Hasan Nasbi, but the timing was still being coordinated. The State Secretary didn't confirm whether a replacement would be appointed, stating that it was under review.

In the video, Hasan admitted to resigning because there was something that could no longer be handled. He also expressed this in several podcast appearances.
Prior to his resignation, Hasan Nasbi came under scrutiny after his response to the pig's head terror against Tempo was criticized by the public.
