Ichsan Ali, Jakarta – The Political Strategy Group (PSG) has revealed that 73 percent of Jakarta residents are satisfied with the performance of President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo, according to the pollster's latest survey.
Ahsan Ridhoi, Head of Research at PSG, explained that the survey aimed to measure public satisfaction, particularly in light of Jakarta's changing status from the nation's capital to a special region.
"This is also to assess whether the capital relocation would affect public satisfaction, as it's a significant part of Jokowi's legacy. It turns out that Jakarta residents are generally still satisfied," Ahsan said during the release of the Jakarta Regional Election Survey in Jakarta on Saturday.
The PSG survey showed that 13 percent of Jakarta residents were "very satisfied" with Jokowi's performance, while 60 percent were "satisfied," 22 percent were "less satisfied," and 5 percent were "not satisfied."
"This is consistent with most surveys measuring satisfaction with President Jokowi's overall performance," Ahsan added.
The survey was conducted from August 6 to 15, covering all regions of Jakarta. PSG interviewed 1,540 respondents using a multistage random sampling technique, with a margin of error of approximately 2.7 percent and a 95 percent confidence level.
Quality control was conducted on 20 percent of the respondents, randomly selected by supervisors through follow-up interviews. No significant errors were found in the quality control process.
