Bella Evanglista, Jakarta – Ari Dwipayana, Coordinator of the President's Special Staff, has dismissed speculation about a cabinet reshuffle or new ministerial appointments during President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo's activities in the Nusantara Capital City (IKN).
"There is no plan to appoint new ministers in IKN as rumored," Ari said in a message received by Beritasatu.com on Tuesday.
He further clarified that the President has no intentions of conducting a cabinet reshuffle.
"That's not true. There are currently no plans or agendas for a cabinet reshuffle," Ari added.
Recent reports had suggested that President Jokowi might announce a cabinet reshuffle while working in Nusantara starting Monday.
During his visit, Jokowi was accompanied by First Lady Iriana and Public Works and Housing Minister Basuki Hadimuljono.
In addition to working from Nusantara and inaugurating the Balang Island Bridge over Balikpapan Bay, the President's entourage also took part in a motor tour with local celebrities and influencers, including Raffi Ahmad and Nagita Slavina, Atta Halilintar, and Gading Marten.
