Jakarta – The employment security agency BPJS Ketenagakerjaan recently inked a partnership agreement with the development and information body of the Villages Ministry.
Under this deal, the two agencies will work together on protecting vulnerable workers through the so-called "One Village, One Hundred Protected Vulnerable Workers" initiative.
Signing the MoU were the ministry's development body head Ivanovich Agusta and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan's corporate and institutional membership deputy Hendra Nopriansyah.
"This partnership involves data sharing for the sake of village worker protection," Ivan was quoted as saying in a press statement.
The partnership is also part of the government's goal to implement sustainable development goals (SDGs) at the village level. This includes spurring equitable economic growth across villages, while also opening up job opportunities for the people.
