Dayat & Chairul Fikri, Jakarta – Presidential and vice presidential candidates Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar have accepted President-elect Prabowo Subianto on his victory in the 2024 Presidential Election.

They expressed their respect for the entire electoral process, stating that they would ensure a smooth transition from President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo to Prabowo.

"The entrusted mandate has been fulfilled, and we have seen the results together. We hope that democracy will proceed even better," Anies said after visiting Muhaimin at the National Awakening Party (PKB) headquarters in Central Jakarta on Monday night.

The Constitutional Court confirmed Prabowo Subianto as the winner of the February 14 presidential election on Monday. The court rejected a motion by two defeated candidates, Anies Baswedan and Ganjar Pranowo, who sought to annul the result and demand a revote. The justices cited a lack of legal grounds and convincing evidence in their 5-3 rulings.

PKB Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) congratulated presidential candidate number 1, Prabowo Subianto, and vice presidential candidate Gibran Rakabuming Raka on their victory in the 2024 Presidential Election.

"The Constitutional Court's decision to reject all appeals from Anies and Ganjar marks the end of this year's presidential election," Cak Imin said at the PKB headquarters in Central Jakarta on Monday night.

"We congratulate pair number 2 on their success in winning the 2024 presidential election," he added.

Muhaimin hopes that Prabowo and his running mate, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, will lead Indonesia to become a better, more progressive, fair, and prosperous nation for all its people.

The Change Coalition, built by his party along with the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) and the National Democratic Party (Nasdem), has concluded with the end of the Constitutional Court's decision.

"The togetherness with Nasdem and PKS has yielded sweet memories that will surely leave a lasting impact, making cooperation in the future easier for development in the times ahead," he concluded.

Previously, Mohammad Mahfud MD, the running mate of Ganjar Pranowo, congratulated Prabowo and Gibran after the Constitutional Court on Monday confirmed their legitimate victory.

Prabowo and Gibran will be inaugurated on October 20, 2024.
