Ichsan Ali, Jakarta – President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo has confirmed the attendance of four ministers from his cabinet at the Constitutional Court (MK) hearing for the dispute over the 2024 Presidential Election results in Jakarta.

"Yes, they will all attend as they have been invited by the Court. They will all be present," said Jokowi at the Indonesian Air Force Base in Halim Perdana Kusuma, Jakarta, on Wednesday.

The four cabinet members – Chief Cultural Affairs Minister Muhadjir Effendy, Chief Economic Minister Airlangga Hartarto, Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati, and Social Affairs Minister Tri Rismaharini – are scheduled to testify on Friday.

According to MK's spokeswoman Enny Nurbaningsih, the testimonies from these cabinet members are considered crucial as they have been mentioned multiple times in the motion filed by defeated presidential candidates Anies Baswedan and Ganjar Pranowo.

They allege that the Jokowi government provided unfair advantages to election winner Prabowo Subianto through an intensified government social assistance program ahead of the election.

Given the president's implicit support for Prabowo's candidacy, the increased government assistance provided to the people before the election could sway voters in a manner favoring Prabowo, the plaintiffs argued.

Prabowo secured an outright victory in the election with 58.58 percent of the vote.

Jokowi further explained that each of the four ministers would offer explanations based on their specific responsibilities. "They will elaborate on the actions taken by each ministry. For instance, the Minister of Finance will discuss the budget, while the Minister of Social Affairs will address social assistance," he clarified.

Jokowi urged all parties to await the proceedings on Friday.

Airlangga Hartarto confirmed receiving a summons as a witness in the ongoing hearing for the dispute over the 2024 Presidential Election results at the Constitutional Court in Central Jakarta on Friday.

Airlangga intends to participate as a witness. Furthermore, he mentioned coordinating with other summoned ministers for the hearing.

Muhadjir Effendy affirmed his compliance with the summons to provide testimony in the ongoing hearing for the dispute over the 2024 Presidential Election results on Friday.

Sri Mulyani also stated her intention to attend the hearing.
