Indah Handayani, Jakarta – Transportation and logistic company MPX Logistics International aims to operate 100 trucks in Indonesia's New Capital Nusantara (IKN) in East Kalimantan by the end of 2024.

"Several units have been distributed to East Kalimantan to support the development of IKN, which is currently the government's main focus," MPX's CEO, Wijaya Candera, said on Thursday.

The company has already dispatched 27 units to Nusantara last year and aims to deliver 50 units in the first quarter of 2024. Due to the strong demand from existing customers, the company expects to add another 50 units to Nusantara in the second half of 2024.

"With this, by the end of 2024, the total fleet units that MPXL will operate in Nusantara will be 100 units," added Wijaya.

He said the company is highly committed to being a reliable partner in supporting critical infrastructure projects across Indonesia. The increase in their fleet reflects their determination to continually contribute positively to Nusantara's progress.

"Through these initiatives, MPX not only plans for business growth but also actively participates in realizing the government's vision to accelerate national infrastructure development," he said.

According to Wijaya, MPX has continued to add its fleet since going public in May 2023. Before that, MPXL had a total of 68 operational fleet units, and as of December 2023, the company has operated 106 fleet units.

"With the addition of these units, we are highly optimistic that the company's revenue will increase rapidly, leading to further business expansion," he said.
