Antara, Jakarta – The Transportation Ministry's Directorate General of Sea Transportation implements the digitization of ship and goods services using the Inaportnet platform at 45 ports. In total, the ministry is targeting to digitize services in 151 ports this year.

The signing ceremony for the integrity pact and implementation of the 'Go Live Inaportnet Phase II 2023' was held at the ministry's building in Jakarta, Wednesday, September 13.

Inaportnet is a platform that provides more measurable transparency in services at ports. Through this platform, all port-related information can be easily accessed by related parties.

The first stage of Inaportnet implementation in was rolled out at 40 ports. Today, there are 194 ports in Indonesia running the Inaportnet program between 2016 to September 2023. By the end of 2023, 260 ports are expected to have Inaportnet.

The ministry's acting Director General of Sea Transportation, Antoni Arif Priadi, said that with Inaportnet, administrative supervision and activities at ports have become more effective, transparent and accountable.

"The licensing process and completeness of requirements at ports can be digitally integrated, allowing them to be more efficient and transparent," he said in a release received Wednesday.

Inaportnet also contributes to improving the monitoring of non-tax state revenue (PNBP) in the port sector. Through an integrated system, revenue data can be accessed accurately in real-time. This helps the government optimize revenues from the port sector.

Antoni said that digital transformation must continue to be improved in order to realize continuous and structured service improvements at ports.

"I hope that all stakeholders will remain optimistic about the improvement of services, become more dynamic in facing global challenges, and always follow developments in the field of ports and their supporting technology," he said.
