Antara, Bogor – After Bogor City Mayor Bima Arya officially issued that the city is under disaster alert until December, the city's budget for unforeseen expenses or BTT has been increased from Rp12 billion to Rp25 billion. This is a direct attempt to prepare for risks of flooding and other hydrometeorological hazards that the city is expected to face in the coming months.

The Bogor City Legislative Council (DPRD) Speaker, Atang Trisnanto, said the budget was increased by the Bogor City Government and DPRD in the 2022 regional revenue and expenditure budget (APBD) amendment, Antaranews reported.

To utilize the budget, Bogor City Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD Bogor) will only need to write to the Perumkim and Public Works and Housing (PUPR) offices where they would calculate the cost of disaster management. The disaster budget will then be submitted to the BKAD to be disbursed immediately.

The Bogor City DPRD Speaker said that this is considered a swift response in terms of disaster management and should be appreciated.

He hopes that the recommendation for a disaster-prone map will be immediately submitted to the DPRD along with the calculation of the cost of disaster management.
