Arrijal Rachman, Jakarta – The Attorney General's Office (AGO) director of investigations Febrie Adriansyah said that the state losses caused by the satellite procurement case involving the East Longitude 123 orbital slot could likely exceed IDR 500 billion.

"The state losses we discovered from our discussion with auditors lead to roughly IDR 500 billion as we are facing an arbitration lawsuit amounting to USD 20 million," said Adriansyah at the AGO office on Friday, January 14, 2022.

Febrie said that the losses originated from the budget that has been spent to rent Avanti Communication Limited (Avanti) for IDR 491 billion, a consultant fee of up to IDR 18.5 billion, and the Navajo arbitration costing up to IDR 4.7 billion.

"We consider these potential losses as it is ongoing and we believe there are losses as what was mentioned in the arbitration court," Febrie said in relation to the case that incriminates the Ministry of Defense. "It qualifies as acts of corruption."
