The previous high of daily deaths was 71 on Tuesday.
Daily confirmed cases of coronavirus jumped by 1,607 on the same day, the second highest rise in a day, as the country concluded the deadliest week since first cases were detected in early March.
Southeast Asia's biggest country now has a total of 63,749 cases, after adding 9,739 more cases, or 15 percent, during the week alone.
Two new highs and a record-equaling daily figure of coronavirus cases have occurred throughout this week.
The number of Covid-19 deaths has increased by 417, or 13 percent, in the past week, the highest ever by seven-day average.
East Java, the epicenter of the Indonesian outbreak, reported a record 552 new cases to take its total to 14,013. The province's previous high was 502 on May 21.
Covid-19 deaths topped 1,000 in East Java for the first time, after 24 more patients died in the 24-hour period to a total of 1,020, more than any other province.
The virus is also spreading fast in Jakarta, South Sulawesi and new hotspot Central Java.
Daily cases in Central Java crossed 200 for the first time and it now has 4,611 cases overall after continued surges in cases since mid-June. It remains in fourth place after Jakarta (12,435) and South Sulawesi (5,890).
The transmission is not slowing in Jakarta either, with 257 new cases on Sunday, second only to East Java.
West Java also saw a surge with 106 new cases, taking up the curve after a plateau since June 8.
Surging cases are also found in Bali, North Sumatra, East Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, North Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, North Maluku and Papua.
New cases are relatively steady or in downward trend in 21 other provinces.
The number of cured or discharged Covid-19 patients increased significantly by 886 on Sunday, bringing the total recoveries to 29,105.
That means Indonesia has 31,473 active cases or 49 percent of overall confirmed cases.
