Jakarta (Antara) – Executive Director of Indonesian Center for Environmental Law (ICEL) Henri Subagiyo, requests President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo to fight against the numerous attempts upon weakening the KPK.

"President Jokowi must fully support the public in fighting any form of attack against the KPK," said Henri in a test message in Jakarta on Sunday.

The attacks, according to Henri, happened in the past several weeks that took form as the fiasco in the KPK leader selection process and the organization's revised law (UU KPK) No.30/2002.

Henri argues that the Law does not coincide with existing laws, such as the Law No.12/2011 that oversees how laws are written and created.

Moreover, the ICEL executive director says that the KPK Law revision itself violates the standing orders of the House of Representatives (DPR) Article 65 (1).
