Customers can receive the discount directly at customer service desks at Pasar Senen Station, Gambir Station, Jakarta Kota Station and Bekasi Station.

TNI and police members, who can register on any day of the week by providing their TNI or National Police ID cards, are eligible for a 25 percent discount for executive class tickets and 50 percent discount for economy and business class tickets. The discount does not apply to their family members.

Meanwhile, veterans are eligible for a 50 percent discount for any class for registration carried out from Tuesday to Thursday, excluding national holidays. For registration on Friday through Monday, veterans can get a 30 percent discount.

"Journalists can get discounts on any day, but must show an assignment letter. They can get a 20 percent discount for business and economy class. Journalists only need a copy of their assignment letter, their press ID card and a copy of it," Eva said.

For customers older than 60, registration is open daily with only an ID card and a copy of it necessary to receive a 20 percent discount for tickets of any class.

Meanwhile, toddlers younger than 3 years of age can ride for free after being registered with an accompanying guardian.

"PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta reminds everyone that the registration for discounts for the elderly, TNI members, police members, LVRI members, and journalists has no deadline. This service is offered indefinitely, so passengers don't need to be in a hurry to register," Eva said. (ami)
