Francisca Christy Rosana, Jakarta – Rizky Amelia, who reported her former boss Syafri Adnan Baharuddin over alleged sexual harassment, visited the National Commission on Violence Against Women (Komnas Perempuan) Tuesday, January 15.

Amelia visited Komnas Perempuan in a bid to gain her mental in dealing with legal proceedings of her case after reporting Syafri to the National Police's criminal investigation unit and the National Social Security Board (DJSN).

"I visited Komnas Perempuan yesterday (Tuesday) with (lawyers) Timboel Siregar and Ade Armando," said Amelia in a phone call with Tempo, Wednesday, January 16.

Syafri Adnan Baharuddin, Supervisory Board Member of the Worker's Social Security Agency (BPJS TK) was reported by Rizky Amelia who was his secretary for allegedly harassed her sexually during 2017-2018 for four times.

Amelia said her visit to Komnas Perempuan was for consultation regarding her case and an attempt to strengthen herself mentally in facing the legal proceedings.

Komnas Perempuan official Dela Febi Situmorang confirmed the session between Amelia and her commission along with LBH APIK (the Indonesian Women's Association for Justice and Legal Aid Institute).

Dela mentioned Komnas Perempuan did not suggest Rizky Amelia a counseling institution since the latter was accompanied by a survivor and activist of anti-violence against women, Imelda Purba.
