Nuruddin Lazuardi/HY, Jakarta – Around 300 student from various universities in South Jakarta, who call themselves the Southern Students Forum (FMS) are holding a demonstration at the fountain in the Hotel Indonesia Roundabout. They demand Golkar be disbanded.

The FMS arrived around 2.10pam local time on Monday after their long march from the Atmajaya Univeristy. As soon as they reached the roundabout the orations began.

Aside from the calls to disband Golkar, the FMS also call for Suharto to be brought to justice as well as to abolish the territorial and legal institutions of the Military/Police, welfare for the labourforce and education for the people.

Several students were seen sat casually on the edge of the fountain, wearign their alma mater jackets. Yellow of University Indonesia (UI) light blue of the Pancasila University, dark blue of the Political and Social Sciences Institute (IISIP) grey of the Universitas Guna Dharma and the green of the Bunda Kandung Polytechnic.
